Doing that thing you do.

Living life with the policy of having no regrets, doesn't mean a thing until you actually do something you should regret. This whole concept has become a tried and tested one for me as of late. Man o mana what a year! I now have the opportunity to do everything I wanted to do and see if I can live with the consequences. The fact that I can is rather scary at the moment. Well to tell the truth the fact that I am not scared is what scares me.

I can walk the talk it appears, and this is because so far what goes around hasn't come around I do know that much.

Now we come to crunch time. I have to take control and decide who I want to be, what parts of this crazy time in my life do I want to take with me into the sunset? Lets say this is the initial survey period where the bugs are being identified. It turns out I have issues saying no to people and that is NOT a good thing. Being a slave to the interesting is a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE fault!

Having recently introduced myself to the art of pickling my innards NOTE TO SELF:stay away from challenges during the process. I become wayyy to daring for my own good:D still NO REGRETS! that's the policy! I would have done it differently but since I did do it, that's that!

Wild about Wilde

I love this man! No wonder he was gay, probable got tired of beating the droves of women off! The picture of all the brides in the movie The Bachelor springs to mind.

"The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself- Oscar Wilde.

Take your straight line for a curve

___________________________________________________________
Life seems to be all about lines, barriers and boundaries right now.
Knowing when to draw the line, having to toe the line or the best; following the straight and narrow path!

What if on the journey down the straight and narrow you deviate for a bit? take a little detour knowing (or more accurately, hoping) that you will find your way back to the path of the Righteous. I must say the devil and his little helpers have done some wonderful advertising, because now a days the the straight and narrow is synonymous with the dull and insipid. Here is an interesting thought:
“Did perpetual happiness in the Garden of Eden maybe get so boring that eating the apple was justified?"- Chuck Palahniuk

Why o why is self discipline such a rare and valuable commodity? It is extremely scarce in my life right now, exercising will power is much like climbing up a sheer ice cliff armed with only a toothpick.
In my battles of life the ultimate nemesis turns out to be none other than yours truly! Who else knows all my strengths and weaknesses? Its true when they say " you are your worse enemy".
sigh this all boils down to me whining about how hard and unfair (blah blah blah) it is to be good! The unfairness of it all ;)

Wonderings

This is my maiden voyage and what with all the rough waves I've been tumbling around in lately, I have had all these interesting thoughts and philosophies that have been churning around. Therefore before I get sucked into a Charybdis of my own making I thought it would be interesting to muse aloud to no one in particular (a major perk of blogging no doubt). A wonderful way to fill in the gap too: where you don't have enough time to be productive, but you can't go to bed because you feel like such a toad for not doing anything the whole day. But enough eulogizing, my blog will get all big headed.

I have just breached the
pre-exam stage where the time is ripe to pull up ones socks and gird ones loins in Anne with and e style. If only I can muster up the motivation, instead of turning over a new leaf I am here on this page.
Oh well, off to bed then :D
